I have found the love of my life! It’s a Vintage Russian Camera and I love it. I’ve seen cameras like these from other brands but there’s something about the Russian across the top that just makes me absolutely giddy. The Russian culture has grown on me a lot over the past year. It started with Regina Spektor and grew from there. It’s such a passionate culture. I would love to learn Russian but I’ve heard it’s really difficult, especially if you live somewhere where no one speaks it.

Anyways, when I was in highschool my dad gave me his Minolta from the 80’s. Somehow I managed to break it during that time and I have mourned it’s loss ever since. So today, after finding a site which repairs older cameras, I started talking to him about it and he said to look at how much it would cost to just buy a ‘new’ one. I found several on ebay, a vast majority come with lenses and a lot are under $100, most under or around $50 (the base price on the repair site was $98). So, I’m thinking that if I bought a ‘new’ one then I could use the broken one as decoration, which always makes the designer in me giggle with happiness. Anyways, the important thing is that maybe, hopefully, soon I will have a working SLR for me to play with. Oh, how I’ve missed film and oh, how I’ve missed my baby Minolta. It will be a joy to get back into it.

Also, I finally finished my bag! YAY! However, I feel like there’s something missing. Something decorative. So, I’m going to wander Hobby Lobby for the next few days trying to figure it out. Hopefully that will happen before school starts (most likely not). I plan on taking pictures tomorrow. That and to make tons of owls and fans for my mom to take and sell at Rose Garden to start selling. My creative juices are running at full blast currently. I can’t stop thinking of Artsy-Crafty things I can make and sell. Sigh. My brain works faster than my hands can move.
